I canxnot typein the dkar.

the box of good fortune
My art piece for my University portfolio, "The Box of Good Fortune". I found the box one day at Value Village, already broken. Some day I will hang it on the wall.

I desire this t-shirt.

And this one: Owl Who Vs. Whom.

I have updated my 43things. I am on a mission!

I am also being inspired by FiftyTwoProjects. I will be doing some of the writing exercises tonight, even though it is past 8:30, and therefore, past my bedtime. I am a wild woman tonight.

Sia has a wonderful cover of Radiohead's "Paranoid Android". Speaking of Radiohead, I sang "Creep" last weekend on Rock Band. I love Rock Band. It's a whole new level of singing with your eyes closed in front of strangers, making closed fists with your hands.

the closed fists with my hands is my trademark. pounding and clenching makes the music come out better.

....and you're a bit of a pussy for singing creep. i am huge into rock bands and really, you have not lived until you have heard me singing ballroom blitz or sabotage.

what are you doing the august long weekend?

i swore i already commented on this. stupid blogger.

there is always next time for sabotage. bring it on. i did sing some clash though. really, really badly. last night i sang "dani california"... without the aid of alcohol. halfway through i was like.... i am not nearly drunk enough for this. .... and yet, i still couldn't keep time with the beat.

august long weekend... not a thing. there is a radiohead concert we're going to, have to check the date on that, but otherwise nothing. how come? are you going to come rock chilliwack like hurricane laura?

it would be like august 1-4 or something.

but chilliwack doesn't have an airport/ huh?

i looked at prices to random spots in bc and though wow, expensive, still doable with a seat sale if i book soon....and actually go to work.

ImageHi. My name is Sarah
and I live by the sea. I like pirates and vikings and my audio cassette tape player. I am 25 years old and pretty much covered in sand all the time. Also, I like cookies. My profile.

ImageHey Sarah, what are ye listening to?
Lots and lots o' stuff, like St. Germain's "So Flute" and "Ghosts" by Ladytron. I can't believe Robyn is out with new stuff and it doesn't make me want to show her love by jabbing rusted forks into my eyes. It's actually really catchy and kind of endearing. I have been looking up the songs from So You Think You Can Dance all year, too, because it's all awesome and at heart, I'm still a spandexed little dancer ready to punch Annie in the face and show Daddy Warbucks a thing or two about tap musicals.

ImageI'M READING:
Walking Dead:

Frigging awesome. One of the best books about the Zombocalypse I've ever read (one of the only good books about the Zombpocalypse I've ever read). I think there's something about zombies that is so hard to construe via text ... I mean, honestly, you can only use the word "purtrid" so much, and the visual, awesome aid of comics really helps.

ImageI'M SEEING:
Quarantine, a movie that's kind of the equivalent to being on the Disney spinning teacup ride, except, also, there are RABID ZOMBIES ON BOARD. Honestly, I missed quite a bit of this movie because I spent a good portion of it with my head nestled into my boyfriend's armpit attempting not to vomit. The camera movement is, at times, insanely choppy and all over the place, and those of you prone to motion sickness, you might want to skip this one. I'd give it about 2 1/2 stars out of 5, because it's decent -- I'd even watch it again if I could keep the room from spinning.

ImageBOOK CLUB!:
The Kite Runner. I love this book. It wasn't necessarily a book I'd choose to read (these days I appear to be more interested in books geared towards teenage girls.), but I'm so glad I did. Beautiful writing. Next choice... I'm going to volunteer the Bell Jar because IT'S THE BEST BOOK EVER.
